I was pretty resistant to the wearable tech trend when it burst into popularity a few years ago.
Those clunky bracelets are a real threat to our style although they are proven to be hugely effective in helping us trim our waistline.
Fortunately, after years of advancements, there are FINALLY a ton of stylish fitness trackers. They’ve gotten smaller, more efficient, and even come in a wide range of jewelry options beside the standard fitness band.
I bought and reviewed the most popular fitness trackers on the market. I put them through their paces and figured out which one offers the best balance of features and style.
Fitbit Luxe

Fitbit has been the leader in the fitness tracker game since day one. The Luxe is one of their newest models, and this particular special edition with the gorjana gold link bracelet is their most stylish model yet. Unfortunately, this special edition is pretty much impossible to find right now, but even the silicone band version is really attractive.
The Fitbit Luxe is a great choice for those looking for an attractive and functional fitness tracker. It has all the features of larger trackers, but in a much smaller package that won’t look bulky on your wrist. The device tracks steps, average heart rate, and sleep quality with ease. However, I’ve had some difficulty syncing activities to the mobile app and issues with the screen not always lighting up when trying to check the time. Additionally, there are limited clock face options available through the app and it can be difficult to wake up using the “wrist shake” feature.
Despite all these issues, Fitbit is still the tracker with the most features in the smallest form factor in my opinion.
Bellabeat Leaf Urban Health Tracker
Bellabeat is one of the most customizable fitness trackers on the market, and is a great choice for those who have more simple taste when it comes to accessories. It comes with a necklace and bracelet that you can switch between depending on your outfit, so you gotta love that flexibility.
The Bellabeat is one of the most stylish fitness trackers because it’s got a simple leaf and stone design. It keeps track of your steps, distance moved and calories burned but also has some cool health features.
It not only tracks your sleep patterns, revealing the quantity and quality of your sleep, but it also helps you keep a watchful eye on your reproductive health! The Bellabeat also gives you an overview of your menstrual cycle, a helpful addition for those prepping for family planning.
The Bellabeat also helps you keep in mind your mental health by monitoring your stress levels, and helps you relieve stress through breathing exercises goals. You can also have it wake you up in the morning with a gentle pulse, and remind you to stay active with an inactivity alarm.
The Bellabeat is one of the most stylish fitness trackers for those with a bohemian sense of style. We love the flexibility of easily switching between a fitness tracker bracelet and necklace, and the simple leaf design makes it a great pick for eco chic lovers.
Apple Watch Series 8
If having a stylish fitness tracker that literally does it ALL is important to you, look no further than the Apple Watch. Being an Apple product, this smartwatch has a range of great features that integrate perfectly with your iPhone.
The Series 8 has some major upgrades – it’s fully waterproof, making it a great choice for swimmers, or those who have ever forgotten to take off their watch before hopping in the shower or pool.
You can find a variety of interchangeable wristbands, from classic leather to silicone sports options. I personally love the “Milano” metal mesh in gold, which is stylish and transitions well from casual to business to dressy.
The Apple Watch Series 8 also has great activity tracker features, which are especially useful when paired with the Apple Fitness+ subscription ($9.99/mo). It’s very satisfying to “close the circles”, but I ultimately chose to use my Apple Watch with the One Peloton subscription ($12.99/mo – I don’t have a Peloton bike, but their classes are really good even for yoga, Zumba, etc.)
The best thing about the Apple Watch is that you have access to all the information you need, right from the watch itself. The ability to reply to texts, take calls, and view all the info about your workout in real time is what sets it apart, but of course this comes at a cost – the Apple Watch is the highest priced tracker I have reviewed.
Fossil Gen 6 42mm Touchscreen Smartwatch
Looking at this gorgeous rose gold watch from fossil, you’d have no idea that it was actually a state of the art hybrid smart watch! This device is great because it performs just like a normal watch, but it it also keeps track of your activities, filters your notifications, and keeps up with multiple time zones.
The Fossil Gen 6 Touchscreen Smartwatch is stylish, comfortable to wear, and has a lot of great features. It looks nice on my wrist and it’s easy to put on and take off one-handed.
The battery life isn’t the best – it only lasts about 24 hours – but there is an auto power saving mode that kicks in when the battery gets low which helps conserve energy.
There are also some great health tracking features such as heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, blood oxygen levels, etc., although I do wish there was an ECG feature like what you get with Apple Watches.
Connecting the watch to my phone was a bit tricky at first; it took me several attempts before I got everything working properly. However, once connected it works well enough for me to be able to read texts from my phone but not respond directly from the watch itself (which would be nice).
Additionally, while you can control audio playing from your phone through the watch (like pausing a podcast), you cannot open media directly through the watch so if you want access to music or podcasts without having your phone nearby then this may not be ideal for you either.
Overall I’m happy with this watch and if you’re looking for something stylish yet functional then this could definitely be worth considering.
Fossil is a world leader in time pieces, and these hybrid smartwatches are a great choice for those who want a fitness tracker, but would have a hard time saying goodbye to the traditional watch design!
Fitbit Flex 2 Fitness Wristband
The Fitbit Flex 2 is easily the one of the most stylish fitness trackers made by fitbit, and it is under a hundred bucks! The Flex 2 doesn’t have a screen like some of the other models, but it uses a series of LED lights to keep you informed of your steps, and to alert you of notifications on your phone.
The fitbit flex 2 keeps track of your steps, distance, calories burned, active minutes, hourly activity and stationary time, in one of the slimmest fitness bands you can get! Its also a water proof fitness tracker, so you can keep track of distance you’ve done in the pool!
It automatically tracks the length and quality of your sleep, and lets you set a sleep goal and bedtime reminder to improve your sleeping habits. The flex 2 will keep you up to date when you get calls and texts, by vibrating an lighting the discreet LED display.
The Fitbit Flex 2 only has to be charged about every 5 days, and you can set it up to send you reminders to move every hour, or to notify you of an alarm with a silent vibration.
What we love about the Fitbit Flex 2 Fitness Tracker, is that it is super customizable. The pill-shaped tracker can be removed from the silicone band, and placed into a fashionable bangle, creating a real fitness tracker bracelet (as opposed to a smart watch), or even into a pendant necklace. The fitbit flex 2 bangle and fitbit flex 2 pendant are sold separately, but are some of the best looking fitness trackers because they look like regular fashion jewelry.
The Fitbit Flex 2 is a great option for someone who wants all the great features made by fitbit, but doesn’t care about having an LED screen.
Michael Kors Women’s MKGO Smartwatch
The Michael Kors Women’s MKGO Smartwatch has a beautiful round face, which is perfect for dressing up or down. The jewels around the watch face are a nice addition, but they look a bit “cheap”.
The battery life on this watch is not very good but fortunately it charges back up very quickly.
This is essentially a Michael Kors-branded version of a Fossil smartwatch, meaning they both share the Google WearOS system and most of their features. The MK watches still use the last generation software, so if you want a newer generation watch that will give you less trouble to connect it to your phone, I’d go with the Fossil instead.
Kate Spade New York Scallop Activity Tracker
If you’re looking for a fitness tracker thats cute as a button, look no further than the preppy favorites from Kate Spade New York. These stylish fitness trackers come in a variety of fun prints and patterns, and for all the cat ladies they’ve got a activity tracker with a cute cat ear design! They are shaped like a traditional watch, and since they use a watch battery they never need charging which is a nice feature!
The Kate Spade fitness trackers help you keep up with all your data via their app. The tracker keeps count of your steps, and sleep, and lets you know when you’ve reached goals with cheery celebrations.
The fitness trackers also can help you count down to big life events, and remind you of things on your calendar. The tracker has light up notifications, can control music, and even snap a selfie!
Though it doesn’t have a LED display like other fitness trackers, you can view all data via the app on your smartphone. We love the chicness of these cute fitness bands, and they are a great choice for gals who want to keep a watchful eye on their fitness without sacrificing style.
If you are more into the traditional look of a watch, with all the smart watch feature, check out the classic chicness of the kate spade smartwatch design.
Ringly – Activity Tracker
Ringly was one of the first companies to give us stylish fitness trackers in the form of traditional jewelry. They make a line of gorgeous fitness tracking bracelets and smart rings that are a great choice for even the most discerning fashionistas. Ringly’s classic designs are the perfect choice for gals working in corporate companies, who don’t want to flash a clunky fitness tracker around all day.
One of the best features of the Ringly products is the Smart Alerts which remind you very subtly when you’ve got an incoming call or text message. This is a great feature for those of us who don’t want to have to watch our phones like hawks while working, or who prefer to keep them on silence.
The Ringly keeps track of steps taken, distance traveled, and calories burned. It lets you create and manage your fitness goals, and you can sync it with any of your favorite productivity and fitness apps. The ring and bracelet are also water resistant so you wont have to fuss over getting them a little wet.
One of the coolest thing about the Ringly fitness trackers is that the gemstones are hand cut and semi precious , meaning that each one is unique from the next! The box that your Ringly fitness comes in also doubles as the charger, which will keep it nice and cozy while powering up.
It was created by a small business owner who was sick of missing calls from her phone buried in the bottom of her purse, and ladies with a hectic lifestyle will certainly appreciate the classic look of Ringly’s best looking fitness trackers.
Swarovski White Slake Deluxe Activity Crystal Set
Everyones favorite brand of over the top dazzling crystals now makes a very stylish fitness tracker! The Swarovski Activity Crystal is a beautiful and easily customizable fitness band, in the shape of a giant shiny crystal! The crystal is so good looking, you’d have no idea this chic bracelet is also keeping track of your fitness levels.
Its been expertly designed for the fashion conscious ladies who need something comfortable enough for all day wear. The Swarovski activity crystal is super versatile and practical because it comes with two band options.
You can wear your activity tracker with the retro white sport band while working out, and switch easily to the chic Slake Bracelet with sparkling crystals for a night out. It also comes in a variety of stylish colors like black and pink.
The Swarovski Activity Tracking Crystal not only measures your activities and tracks your sleep patterns, but it also syncs very easily to your smartphone where you can view all the data. We love the activity crystal because it looks like a trendy piece of jewlery, but it does so much more.
Its great that it comes with two bands so you can easily update your look, and its a great choice for busy moms who need something durable, comfortable, and stylish to track activities.
Kate Spade Hinge Bangle Activity Tracker Bracelet
The open bangle bracelet has been all the rage lately, and finally someone made a fitness tracker band in this lovely style! Like the other stylish fitness trackers from Kate Spade, this bangle bracelet tracks your steps, sleep, personal goals, and helps you remember important events.
The bracelet uses light notifications to keep you in the know, showing you smartphone notifications and updates on reaching fitness goals.
Because this fitness tracker bangle uses a watch battery, it won’t need any charging. We love the style of the gold-tone bangle and white mother-of-pearl tracker discs because its a super chic look for a fully functional device. The tracker itself is water resistant to 30m (100ft) but only withstands splashes or brief immersion in waters, so it wont be a suitable option for swimming.
This bangle is best suited for the fashion conscious gal who always needs to rock the latest trends, and needs a step counter for day to day wear.
Tips for Choosing Stylish Fitness Trackers
Here are some helpful tips for choosing the best fitness tracker for you!
- Aesthetics – If you are often going from workout to social events, choose a tracker that can be easily switched between a sporty band and a dressy bracelet.
- Comfort – Pick a band that will be comfortable for you to wear all day. People who work at a computer will be more comfortable with a silicone or leather band.
- Connectivity Features – Some trackers work best with iOS and some with Android. Make sure to take a look at the reviews for the specific tracker with mentions of issues connecting to the type of phone you have (WearOS watches in particular sometimes have trouble staying connected to iPhones).
- Battery Life – For those who are always on the go, pick a smartwatch that uses a regular watch battery so you won’t have to worry about charging.
- Water Resistance – Finally, if you swim or get your hands wet often, make sure you choose a water resistant or water proof fitness tracker.
And there you have it, the most stylish fitness trackers you can get your hands on! No matter your budget, fitness needs, or lifestyle, there is finally a range of stylish fitness trackers out there that will be perfect for your needs! Happy Tracking!
